How it helps: Tricks break big skills into tiny wins. Dogs learn to love trying, you learn great timing, and everyday cues (sit, down, come) get stronger because your dog enjoys training with you.
What “Positive” Means Here
Reward-based coaching training. Rewarding the correct behavior while ignoring or minimizing attention given to negative behaviors.
Short, success-first reps with play breaks in between reps. Dogs learn best in 5-minute increments.
Humane equipment: flat/buckle collar only, no corrective devices or harsh corrections allowed in any of Warman Dog Training classes.

What Trick Classes includes:(Sample Curriculum)
Warm-ups: supervised off-leash playtime with recalls out of play and mat training.
Skill Blocks: teaching tricks, using clicker to mark correct behavior, shaping/capturing, adding cues
Progressions: Tricks build on each other. Paws-Up builds to cart pushing or skateboarding.
Mini Chains: combine 2–3 tricks into a short routine
Showcase: end-of-course share (photos or short clip)
Tricks like Sit Pretty and Skateboard use slow, supportive progressions.
How Trick Classes Work
We start with your dog’s comfort, then build short, fun reps that make trying the most rewarding choice. You’ll learn clicker training timing, reinforcement placement, and simple progressions you can repeat at home. After each class you get a clear recap and homework (5–3 times a day is ideal). Need help between weeks? We offer quick email support.
What to Bring to Trick Class
A hungry, energetic dog, flat collar, treat pouch with soft, high-value human-grade food rewards. For skateboard sessions, we supply the board. Cots & mats are provided for self-control training. Toys are also provided. Clickers are included in the class fee.

Yes, Sherri is a certified trick dog trainer and can assess your dog’s tricks for titles. Ask us about video submissions and foundations for trick titles; we focus on solid skills and happy teams first.
